I've read tons of blogs about setting up cleaning schedules and I tried it for a while but it didn't work for me. Part of it is my youngest is still home with me most of the day, so I could play with him or ignore him and clean. Not a tough choice there.

My problem with the cleaning schedule too is that if things are cleaned so often they never get real dirty I don't get the satisfaction of, "wow, look how clean it is now.". I know some people vacuum/dust every day, but I get no satisfaction in that. I vacuum because I see dust bunnies, I can see the difference. If I wash the floor after someone tracked dirt in, I see the difference.

I know it sounds incredibly lazy, and I hope once Little Man goes off to school in the fall and I have more time to myself, I'll feel more inspired to clean. But, realistically probably not. Having said all that I'm getting enormous satisfaction in setting and completely weekly goals of rainy day projects that were put off way too long.Liz Slaterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01891933207570738477noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5831257349823554381.post-57827422377109594032012-05-02T10:31:11.822-07:002012-05-02T10:31:11.822-07:00I spend an hour in the morning after dropping my s...I spend an hour in the morning after dropping my son off at school. Starting laundry, making beds, dishes and other daily chores. Then I spend another 30-45 minutes in the evening doing 1 bigger chore. Dusting, toilets, etc. that way things don't pile up. I try to stick to it as much as possible, because with 2 kids the house can go from clean to "condemn me" status in a matter of minutes.Sandee Harnedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06585185493544931636noreply@blogger.com
